Drag radials/slicks

Post by Alecclem1314 » Sun Aug 06, 2017 1:24 am

Any one know a good place to get 2 steelies and decent radials or slicks I don't wanna eat up my street tires on track days current wheels are 18/9.5 -26 and they sit flush with the wide body
I'm looking for something that will also sit pretty close to flush but I want a smaller wheel probably a 15 so I can run taller side walls

What car are you running? If its a VT, or comparable 18" factory equipped wheel size you won't be able to run any 15" wheels due to the size of calipers. Lowest would be 16" and you would need to check for clearance.

Would suck but switch to NAV brakes , then beef those up with lines rotors and pads . If drag is the cars intended use no problem. However if you Street /highway pull it could become a major issue and I'd stick with 16" . TBH 16" is adequate enough for a great drag radial tire . These cars with 17" show amazing gains as I've found with mine . So unless it's a pure drag car pushing 1000hp you're fine with 16-17

Power goals for the car are around 500whp and a 16 is fine I didn't realize that a 15 wouldn't clear the brakes

I don't know if 16s would fit the VT, I am running 17s and I barely clear the caliper.

Cool thanks for the advice I'll have to test fit some stuff and just figure out what works
